The 4 Hours of Portimão will be remembered as the day the Corvette name returned to the top of European endurance racing. TF Sport's No. 82 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, driven by Hiroshi Koizumi, Rui Andrade and Charlie Eastwood, started from pole but briefly lost the lead to Racing Spirit of Le Mans' Aston Martin. A Ferrari attempted to undercut with an early pro-driver stint, but had to make an extra fuel stop, dropping it down the order. Eastwood took over in the final hour and fended off a charging McLaren while managing a drop-off in tyre performance, securing victory and the LMGT3 Drivers' and Teams' Championships.

Sportscar365 reported that the win leapt the No. 82 squad from third to first in the standings, with Iron Dames' Porsche rounding out the podium. Team principal Tom Ferrier highlighted the significance of the title: it validated the Corvette's reliability across multi-stint races and rewarded the team's decision to expand its GT3 programme.

The result also grants the team an automatic invitation to the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours—a tantalising prospect for fans eager to see a Corvette contest the world's most prestigious endurance race. Portimão thus stands as both a championship climax and a launching pad for future European success.
